And we can be positive that greater storage options (possibly including a guild vault) are on the way... as well as greater guild options.

They could have at least put a Xunlai in the guild hall.

Wasn't the observer mode scheduled to be in the februari 2006 update?

Larger storage would definately be a perfect item to put in that one, as will be extra character slot(s).

I'm not expecting anything to avoid being disappointed .. just hoping it will be there

Concerning the Observer mode - they clearly stated they were planning on releasing that AFTER they released PvP changes and Sorrows furnace.

http://www.guildwars.com/news/gameupdates.html

Here's the relevant part ->

Quote:
Observer Mode

We are looking forward to unveiling Observer Mode a short while after the changes we mentioned above. Through Observer Mode, players will be able to watch (with a time delay) any battles involving their own guild and any important battles going on in the Guild Wars world, such as rated battles involving high ranking guilds, battles near the Hall of Heroes, and the later stages of seasonal tournaments. We believe Observer Mode, along with far more detailed statistics for each battle, will enable a greater number of players to enjoy Guild Wars at higher level of play. And that means more fun for everyone.
You'll note they clearly say they plan on releasing it after the updates they have recently made. So we should expect Observer mode to be released sometime in the "near' future. They never said they were releasing it at the same time as Sorrows furnace or the PvP balancing update.

I agree with dansamy on the xunlai to be placed on the Guild Hall, I'd find it rather usefull...

Observer mode is probably still on the go. We can't expect all updates to come at once. The more you change on the game the more entropy is created and risk of bugs is greater. A fellow of my guild was "booted" after the update and probabloy there are other people around with the same problem.

On a Fansite Friday, A-Net mentioned guild storage, observer mode and an offline messaging thing.

Quote:
the next major guild feature to be added will most likely be the guild vault. I'm optimistic that we'll be able to make that available before the release of Chapter 2.
However there ane no promises regarding timelines for introduction of this feature.

As kamatsu noted, observer mode is planned to after SF update. Guild storage is probably on the forge, but I don't remember seing any promises what so ever of guild storage with the SF update.

Extra Character slots will probaly have to wait for Chapter Two.

Cheers.

I wonder how long a "short while after" is. Think the observer mode is what I am most looking forward to

There's a lot of stuff missing in this update: Storage in guild halls, toggleable capes, observer mode, auction houses etc....

but lets face it, we know that most (If not all) these things are on their way, and what we DID get on the update is more than generous!

Wasnt complaining, I was just expecting them to be in it.. but yes I was clearly wrong..

Ok, so maybe releasing something like oberserver mode straight away might be a bit too much of a big implementation... but the Guild Storage would benefit Guilds SO much.. especially new guilds who really cant afford to throw away those runes or upgrades and need to distribute them to the needy.

Maybe we will get it along with observer mode, they are both 'guild helping' features after all

I dont think I could handle it if they release everything like the did this update.. 4:30 in the morning is just not on! I dont care how many of my questions the frog answered...

Going by their definition of what 7'th of september is, this 'short while' could easily be several months down the road. :-(

I heard the Guild Vault will be added in Chapter 2, and observer mode in another PVP event.

Actually anything that will help ur bags get bigger or make storage bigger will be very helpful is hard to manage items with a full storage, although the superior id and salvage helped a lot in clean up
